Michael A. Levy is of counsel to the Firm, focusing primarily on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) matters.

Since 1993, Michael has been an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and a member of its Complex Commercial Case Panel.  He has served as an arbitrator in a wide range of complex legal controversies, both domestic and international, involving such varied subject matters as land reclamation obligations from mining activities; telecommunications and satellite transponder transmission issues; business and professional practice shareholder and partnership disputes; tax shelter and securities cases; venture capital investments; real estate contract disputes; hazardous substance claims; and policyholder claims under health, disability and property insurance contracts, among others.
 

Michael has served as a mediator in a variety of legal disputes as diverse as breach of contract claims under hydro-electric power purchase agreements; multi-party cases alleging water contamination claims made by municipalities; shareholder and partnership disputes; civil rights actions brought in federal courts; personal injury cases; Storm Sandy insurance claims; and Title VII and other statutory labor and employment cases, among others.

Michael currently serves as a member of the Mediator Advisory Committee of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York; and in addition to serving as President of Comprehensive Arbitration & Mediation Services, Inc., a private ADR provider, he serves as a member on a number of other mediation rosters.

William Corbett will also be giving us a brief update on what the results of the 3rd track.
